You can activate your Koodo Prepaid SIM card in-branch at any Money Mart location.
Yes! During the activation process, you can choose to transfer your existing phone number to your new Koodo Prepaid SIM. You’ll need to keep your previous account active until the transfer is complete.
Number transfers usually take 15 minutes to 2 hours for mobile numbers. Landline transfers may take 24–48 hours.
Nope! Koodo Prepaid has no contracts. You pay upfront and can manage your account with flexibility.
Most unlocked phones that support GSM, HSPA, or LTE networks are compatible with Koodo Prepaid. If you’re unsure, check with Koodo’s compatibility tool on their website.
Koodo Prepaid offers a variety of plans with different combinations of minutes, texts, and data. Plans typically include:
- Base plans starting at $15/month.
- Add-ons (boosters) that give extra data, minutes or texts.
Boosters are add-ons that provide extra data, minutes, or texts. They don’t expire as long as your account remains active. You can purchase them anytime at a Money Mart branch.
Base plan features expire at the end of the 30-day period, but boosters roll over as long as your account remains active.
A Top Up for Koodo Prepaid is a method for customers to add funds to their prepaid account after activation to pay for their monthly plan, and allows for continued service. This can be done through a Top Up Voucher purchased in store, or with a Credit or Debit card on the Koodo Self Serve portal.
You can top up by using a voucher from Money Mart or enabling automatic top-up for hassle-free payments.
If you don’t top up before your plan expires, your account will remain inactive. You have 90 days to add funds before your account is permanently deactivated.
Koodo Prepaid does not offer refunds for top-ups or boosters. Make sure to review your selections carefully before confirming payment.
Koodo Prepaid does not offer international roaming. If you need service while traveling, consider purchasing a local SIM card at your destination.

The approval rate is 95% to 98.5% depending on the province. Customers are encouraged to borrow responsibly. If you have trouble paying back your installment loan, fees and interest continue to accrue. These fees and interest result in a higher total cost of your installment loan. Money Mart recommends that customers who do not pay Installment loans on time may see an impact on their credit report and they should seek help from organizations like the Credit Counselling Society. If you do not receive an Installment Loan from Money Mart, it may still have an impact on your credit score as Money Mart performs a credit check.
