1. Why do people use MONEY MART?

It’s quite simple really: fast, friendly service, convenient locations and great hours. At MONEY MART, we’re proud of our consistently high levels of customer satisfaction – we feel it’s an accurate reflection of our commitment to providing services and products that consumers want.

2. Who uses MONEY MART?

It could be you – We’re here when you need us, and we’re open late to serve you better. From needing to cash a cheque on a Sunday or a payday loan to cover an unexpected expense, getting currency for your next trip, sending money, getting your taxes prepared, or paying your bills, we’ve got you covered - and we’re usually right around the corner.

3. Why would someone use MONEY MART instead of their bank?

People choose MONEY MART for fast, friendly service, convenient locations and late hours. In addition, many of our services differ from other financial institutions, particularly where convenience is concerned. For instance, our cheque cashing service places no holds on cheques, thereby granting our customers immediate access to their money – an added convenience that is not universally available.

4. Where are MONEY MART branches located?

With branches in all major cities across Canada, MONEY MART is conveniently located in both central business districts and busy suburban areas. All of our branches are open extended hours – most are open from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday to Saturday, as well as on Sundays and most holidays. Numerous locations are open 24 hours. 5. Can I extend or “roll-over” my Payday Loan?

No. A Payday Loan is meant for short-term borrowing needs only. As such, we require your loan to be paid-off in full on or before the due date. You cannot use the proceeds of another loan to do so. If you require funds for a period beyond your next payday, we recommend a longer-term solution to satisfy your needs.

6. How often can I get a Payday Loan?

While there are no limits on the number of loans allowed, you cannot have more than one loan at any time. Our Payday Loan service is meant to bridge your short-term cash needs between paydays. If you are finding yourself turning to this product on a frequent basis, you may need to consider other sources of financing.

7. Do I need to give collateral for my Payday Loan?

Absolutely not. MONEY MART never takes an assignment of wages or any other form of security in order to secure repayment of your loan.

EASYTAX™ FAQs

1. How does easytax work?

It’s simple, just present your tax slips and completed application form(s) at a MONEY MART branch. Our expert tax team will prepare your taxes and guarantee you the maximum refund†, same day – and in cash.††

2. How do the Application Forms work?

Application “A” must be completed and submitted with every easytax return. Application Form B must be completed only if you have dependants. Application forms can be obtained from the branch or online at ApplicationAB

3. How much does it cost?

The cost is based on your refund amount. You get back 85% of the first $300 and 95% of the remaining refund. For example if your refund is…

The cost is the same as all other tax preparers surveyed, except with MONEY MART you get your refund in cash.

4. What if I don’t get a refund or my refund is small?

If, after we calculate your tax refund, it is less than $100 or you owe money, we can prepare and electronically file your taxes for $29.99, $49.99, or $79.99 plus tax. Price variation is based on complexity of return.
